Why The Internet Needs Another Business Marketing Blog

Let’s face it, the Internet is filled with business marketing blogs. Here’s why another marketing blog is needed.

According to Technorati, the recognized authority in the world of weblogs, a new weblog is created every second of every day.

That’s equivalent to over 75,000 new weblogs a day! As of April 2006, there were 26.6 million blogs online. And only four short months later (08/06) the number of blogs has almost doubled to more than 52.3 million!

With those kind of mind boggling statistics, why in the world would I throw my hat into an already over-crowded ring? Well it’s not because I feel I have something to say as much as I feel I have something to share.

Over the years I’ve learned a lot about advertising, design, and marketing, and how to effectively use them for building a business, selling products and services and, ultimately, making money.

For starters, I’ve learned there are three key elements for building success; Creativity.Technology. Collaboration.

Not only have these been the founding principals used to successfully build Kristof Creative, but they’re also going to be the three core subjects discussed in this blog.

And they do work.

I know because, (borrowing liberally from The Hair Club for Men) I’m not only the owner, I’m also a client. Well, that and a long list of very happy clients.

Why “Observing Polarity”?

Observing polarity (our original blog name) is a phrase I stumbled across one day while changing batteries in an electronic device. The directions imprinted next to the battery case opening read, “Replace batteries while observing polarity.” I had never heard nor seen that before and thought it was quite a strange combination of words. But it also made so much sense.

It’s about paying attention.

No matter how great the product or service, if you don’t pay attention to how you use them, you might find they just don’t work.

Enter Observing Polarity, the official positive influence of inside-out thinking brought to you by the minds of Kristof Creative and the letters “O” and “P”.

What I promise

Understanding your day is busy enough trying to make a dent in that ever growing to-do list, the last thing I want to do is waste your time.

That said, I promise to do everything in my power to make sure O.P. doesn’t turn into just another marketing blogfill — wasted space, bandwidth, and resources of clueless people spouting more of the same.

The goal will be to pass along useful tips and information I’ve acquired over the years along with some new thoughts, insights, and ideas that can help you and your business be more efficient, productive, and profitable. If I can do that, I’ll be a very happy man.

Am I’m chewing off more than I can chew? Absolutely. But that’s the point. I believe that you want to succeed, then strive to succeed BIG. Set the bar as high as you can and then just start jumping. Because if you’re not going to go for it, then just don’t go.

Work in progress

Remember that part about collaboration? Well, this is a great place to make that happen.

So if you have a thought or idea you think is better, or perhaps can evolve an idea even further, throw it out, post a comment, send an email, or shout it from the rooftops because we’d love to hear from you.

Remember, an idea is just a seed. Keep it in the dark and it remains a seed. But if you take it outside and let it absorb sun, water, and oxygen, suddenly you have bean stalk.

Let’s climb it.

Please post your thoughts and comments below. Thanks!
